Funny that I stumbled upon this weeks theme as I just returned home from a longer than usual walk at a newly discovered park. But I didn’t take many photos today as I was just enjoying the scenery and solitude. The first 3 images are from my walk today.
I go for hikes and walks often so I’m always searching for new scenery. Currently I’m restricted (COVID lockdown) to within 5k of my home and about half of that area is the ocean. But regardless, I keep walking wherever I can.
Usually I like to hike the headlands of the Northern Beaches. My phone images below are nearby places where I can still go. But there are so many more that I’m missing as my favorite views are too far right now.
And sometimes I just take a leisurly stroll on the beach, although recently it’s been very crowded at the beach. With so many people unable to go to work, and kids doing school at home, everyone takes advantage of the “going out for exercise” exception to lockdown.
I don’t blame them either because I do the same. It’s our only coping mechinism after two and a half months in lockdown and another month to go. We have to get to a 70% vaccination rate before restrictions will ease up.
Thanks to Amy for hosting this week’s challenge. If you want to participate by sharing your walking discoveries and photos on trails, streets, gardens, neighborhoods… Remember to link your post to Amy’s original, and use the Lens-Artists Tag to help others find you.
The next Lens-Artist’s photo challenge (#164) will be hosted by Sofia Alves on September 4th. Her theme is “Looking Up/Down”. Be sure to look out for it.
